LEO & NORA

ROLE

Game Developer

DESCRIPTION

Leo and Nora, I developed a local split-screen multiplayer system in Unreal Engine 5 using Blueprint scripting. I implemented dual-player controls with separate inputs, along with player-specific interactions and context-based dialogue systems. I worked on synchronizing gameplay events between both players, ensuring that actions and triggers responded correctly based on who interacted. I also developed UI elements that display independently on each player’s screen and handled core mechanics such as object interaction, simple cooperative tasks, and proximity-based events. My role focused on building and refining the co-op gameplay loop to create a smooth and engaging shared experience.

Leo and Nora is a local split-screen multiplayer prototype inspired by Indian mythology, centered around two characters who must work together to progress. The game focuses on cooperative gameplay, where each player has distinct interactions and must coordinate to solve simple objectives and trigger events. Designed as a shared-screen experience, it emphasizes communication, timing, and player interdependence, creating a light, engaging co-op dynamic built around synchronized actions and environmental interaction.
